It's not your imagination, there really IS more traffic on Salem streets in recent years. Represented here are the total number of cars passing a given location (both directions) in a 24-hour period. Use this index to check arterial streets you drive frequently. In most cases arterial traffic seems to have leveled off...at least for the time being. Locations are checked at intervals determined by Salem traffic planners. No counts were conducted 1986-1988 Please drive with care and courtesy.
