NOTES: Courthouse Square, Salem's new Transit Mall and a contingent of county offices will be located on this downtown city block. The parking lot in the foreground is above the Equitable Center's Plaza of retail shops. Directly south across the construction site is Court Street NE and the Marion County Courthouse (Tour Location D). To the left of the courthouse, with its steeple climbing through the skyline is the tallest building in Salem and one of its oldest: the First Methodist Church located on the corner of State and Church Streets.
