NOTES: Looking east along State Street are several notable buildings. Nearest and to the left is the Masonic Temple, built at the turn of the century. On the right Side of State Street, poking up above the skyline is the steeple from the First Methodist Church said to be Salem's tallest building and one of its oldest. A little further down State Street, on the left side is the Oregon Capitol.
