Salem, Oregon - Pretty As A Postcard

This inviting bench with a view is found on the north end of Salem Riverfront Park. The RR bridge was constructed in the 1920's and recently purchased for $1 from the rail company.

In addition to being an historic structure, future plans include the possibility of turning it into a foot bridge to link Wallace Marine Park in West Salem with the east bank of the Willamette River and Salem Riverfront Park.
