It's not quite a "One Log Load" but close.

This March 1958 photograph shows Roseburg, Oregon loggers with an old growth Douglas Fir log.

The smaller logs might have been left off if not for the purpose of helping secure the huge log & moving a little more material to the mill.

The man on the left told me that only the "clear" logs were removed from the woods. It simply wasn't economical to do otherwise. -JBH
