2003 Dykes Memorial Medal Winner "For the eleventh time, Schreiner's Iris Gardens has captured the Dykes Memorial Medal the the outstanding origination "Celebration Song". This premium Tall Bearded bitone Iris is noted for its zesty apricot-pink standards and its pastel blue-lavender falls. In addition, Celebration Song is noted for vigorous growth habits that produce strong stems with three to four branches eac and 9-12 buds. Ten years of detailed testing in all climates and conditions earned Celbration Song an Honorable Mention in 1995, followed by an Award of Merit in 1997, the Wister Medal in 2000, and finally, the Dykes Memorial Medal in 2003." The Dykes Medal is awarded to a single Iris each year by the British Iris Society. Schreiner's Iris Gardens has distinguished itself by being the only Iris grower worldwide to have won a total of eleven Dykes Medals.
