23 feet tall and wearing it's Year 2000 coat of 23K gold leaf, the Oregon Pioneer holds a single-bitted axe in his right hand with a tarpaulin draped over his left shoulder.

This enduring symbol of Oregon statehood is also one of its most-recognized pieces of public scupture.
