Historic Photos of Oregon Fishing

1937 Umpqua River Boaters with Steelhead Hookup This 1937 party of fishermen hooks an Umpqua River steelhead. The Umpqua River runs from the Cascades through Roseburg, Oregon on its way to the Coast. There are two forks: the North & the South. Salmon, steelhead, shad & stiped bass make migratory runs. Zane Gray flyfished the upper North Umpqua for steelhead. The Umpqua has become a smallmouth bass fishery of regional reknown.
