| Fishermen in 1937 display a catch of large trout from Central Oregon's Diamond Lake. Located east of Roseburg in the Oregon Cascades, Diamond Lake has provided generations of anglers with a robust hatchery-fed fishery. It has management difficulties from time to time, but overall, it is very popular and prolific.
Today's fish are generally smaller than these, but large fish are always present. The lake freezes-over during the winter. The Diamond Lake Lodge is nearby. Distinctive Mount Thielsen is in the background.
