| In 1935 daring fishermen perch (sorry, no pun intended) on the rocks forming the Devil's Punchbow (aka Devil's Churn) on the Oregon Coast south of Yachats.
My guess is big seas wash-in schools of small fish that become disoriented or stunned against the rocks. Resident fish or those on the prowl are attracted.
