Albert Gerlach, a craftsman with Povey Brothers Glass of Portland, Oregon
is credited for the 12 windows designed & hand painted for the Elsinore Theatre opened in 1926.
During the Summer of 2002 restoration of the windows, it was discovered that a variety of glass types had been used including hand-blown, machine-milled, & antique which may have originated from a German cathedral destroyed in World War I.
Stage actress Ellen Terry is said to have been the model for the Lady Macbeth window. It was patterned after a John Sargent portrait of the actress in that role. Terry also appears as Portia in another Elsinore window by that name.
