    		 Renown for great accoustics the stage of the Elsinore Theatre has been visited by many famous performers.

    Among these, Silverton, Oregon mill worker Clark Gable practiced for auditions on this stage. Hal Holbrook hailed the acoustics as "close to perfect!" Musician Chuck Mangione said: "The Elsinore is second only to Carnegie Hall for fabulous sound."
