    Oregon Capitol in Springtime

    The Oregon Capitol offers historical, educational, peaceful and fascinating exploration for all ages.

    Location
    From I-5. Exit 253 take Highway 22 west; take Willamette University/State Offices exit and follow signs for 12th Street/State Offices. Turn left on Court Street (1-way). Handicap access at the East Entrance.



    • Built in 1938, Oregon's third Capitol is home to the Oregon Legislature and the Offices of the Governor, the Secretary of State and the State Treasurer.

    The modern Greek structure, highlighted by four different types of marble and Depression Era art, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. View the beautiful Capitol Rotunda

    The Capitol is home to outstanding rock/mineral, historic and art exhibits. The Capitol Gift Shop features a wide variety of Oregon gift items, books, and regional gourmet foods.

    Special Tours
    Tours of the Capitol are available Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4 PM and leave on the hour (Memorial Day thru Labor Day); other times available by appointment. Also, self-guided walking tours of the Capitol grounds.
